Cavitation is a completely non-invasive treatment that emits ultrasonic waves into the cellulite ridden areas of the body to help reduce fat cells that cause the appearance of cellulite. With every treatment, the fat cells are liquefied and removed through the body’s lymphatic system. This advanced technology is one of the only ways to reduce the appearance of stubborn cellulite. What causes cellulite?
There are multiple reasons cellulite can occur. Genetics, fluctuations in weight, a high-carb diet, and pregnancy are just a few of the factors that can contribute to the onset of cellulite. Simply being a female is another, as approximately 90 percent of women worldwide are impacted. To understand how this process happens, you need to know how your skin is attached to the body. The dermis (collagen layer of skin) sits directly above the body’s fat layer, and is connected with small tethers. Over time these collagen tethers start to loosen, allowing the fat underneath to distort the skin tissue. This creates the orange-peel like texture known as cellulite. How many treatments will I need? The number of treatments needed greatly depends on the severeness of cellulite. There are three grades of cellulite: Grade I: This is a mild cellulite that appears only when skin is pushed together and looks similar to an orange peel. Grade II: Moderate cellulite has between five and nine depressions of medium depth and appears similar to cottage cheese.Grade III: Severe cellulite appears similar to a mattress with 10 or more deep depressions. Most clients see optimal results with just three Ultrasound Cavitation treatments approximately two weeks apart. Maintenance may be required. What can I do to make my treatments more effective? Since the body’s lymphatic system is ultimately what removes the cellulite-creating fat cells, there are certain steps you can take to ensure treatments are most effective.
